[AlixPartners: Net Profit Margin of Chinese Auto Suppliers Continues to Decline]AlixPartners released a survey report indicating that despite the ongoing "price war" in China's automotive market, the EBITDA margin of mainstream original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) reached 8.3% in 2024, improving by 1.3 percentage points year-over-year. The consultancy attributes this to OEMs' cost reduction efforts in core operations (COGS), which largely shifted price competition pressures onto suppliers. The report shows China's auto suppliers' net profit margin declined from 4.8% in 2022 and 4.4% in 2023 to 4.3% in 2024. The proportion of suppliers with positive YoY profit growth dropped from 61% in 2022 and 57% in 2023 to 43% in 2024. (Finance News)
